Football Recap: Mingus Marauders vs. Prescott Badgers
Mingus fell victim to Prescott and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Badgers. The defeat continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Hunter Bejarano threw for 97 yards on eight of 22 attempts. Remington Stokes was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Braylon Johnson and Jacob Chamberlain. Johnson rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries while Chamberlain rushed for 211 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Kenny Miller-Terry was in the mix too, providing Prescott with two TDs.
Mingus' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Prescott, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
