Softball Game Preview: Woodbury Royals vs. Park Wolfpack

The Woodbury Royals will face off against the Park Wolfpack at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Woodbury will be strutting in after a victory while Park will be coming in after a defeat.

If Woodbury beats Park with ten runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Royals' pitchers stepped up to hand Irondale a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Maleah Hill, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Lili Zamorano was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Park has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.25 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-2 to Forest Lake. The loss was the Wolfpack's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Park fell to 3-1. As for Woodbury, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
