Recap: Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors vs. Wadley Bulldogs

The Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors lost against the Wadley Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Alabama School for the Deaf was outmatched by Wadley on the road and fell 47-16. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alabama School for the Deaf in their matchups with Wadley: they've now lost nine in a row.

A'mya Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wadley, scoring 20 points along with four steals. The match was Brown's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Vigh, who scored six points along with eight steals.

Alabama School for the Deaf's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.8 points per game. As for Wadley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season.

Alabama School for the Deaf will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Victory Christian at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Victory Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. As for Wadley, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
