Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Coronado couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 9-4 to the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Friday. The Thunderbirds' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Coronado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 25-11. As for Byron Nelson, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10-1 record this season.

While Coronado had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
