Volleyball Recap: Seymour Indians vs. Barry Western Wildcats

Seymour lost against Barry Western last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Seymour Indians fell just short of the Barry Western Wildcats by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Seymour sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 15-9.

Barry Western can attribute much of their success to Rachel McMullen, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Barry Western, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-16.

Seymour didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pittsfield on the 24th. As for Barry Western, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Brown County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brown County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Barry Western surely won't give up without a fight.
