Baseball Game Preview: Tyee Titans vs. Lindbergh Eagles

The Tyee Titans will challenge the Lindbergh Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Tyee is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Tyee came up short against Interlake and fell 9-6.

Richard Tolenoa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Peterson Tolenoa was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

Meanwhile, Lindbergh came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 16-11 victory over Foster on Friday.

Aaron Melendres-Rodriguez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of Lindbergh's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Soto-Hernandez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Lindbergh's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Tyee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
