After having lost a blowout in their previous game against True North Classical Academy, Florida Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Westwood Christian Warriors. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

Florida Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-10, 25-18, 25-15.

Amelia Gomez paced Florida Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Gomez got some help from Sophia Broche and her 38 assists. Skye Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Florida Christian's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Westwood Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Florida Christian will face off against Mater Brickell Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westwood Christian has already played their next matchup (against Greater Miami Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
