Softball Recap: Whitefield Academy Finds Home Field Redemption Against Brown

There's no place like home for Whitefield Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Brown Bears with a sharp 14-3 win on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Allie Carter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Sims, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Whitefield Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Whitefield Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Brown, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitefield Academy will welcome Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brown, they will square off against Iroquois at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
