Softball Recap: Charlestown Comes Up Short

Charlestown was the 2-0 winner over Providence when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell 5-2 to the Pioneers on Thursday.

Charlestown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Watkins, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Charlestown has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season. As for Providence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

Charlestown has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against North Harrison on the 27th. As for Providence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Madison on the 23rd.
