Basketball Game Preview: Overton Bobcats vs. Mount Juliet Golden Bears + How To Watch

Overton hasn't had much luck against Mount Juliet recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. Overton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Overton proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 44) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over East Nashville Magnet. The 47-point effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

William Livingston was his usual excellent self, shooting 53% from the field en route to 20 points and five boards. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terry Slater Jr, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-48, which was the final score in Mount Juliet's tilt against Goodpasture Christian on Tuesday.

Overton's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mount Juliet, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Overton was taken down by Mount Juliet 66-29 in their previous matchup back in November of 2019. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bobcats were down 41-11.
