Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Coal City Coalers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coalers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Coal City, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-12-1.

Reed-Custer and Coal City could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Comets will challenge Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (629 vs. 245). Meanwhile, Coal City (ranked 294th) will meet Manteno (ranked 85th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
