Volleyball Recap: Torrey Pines Picks Up 15th Consecutive Victory

Torrey Pines entered their tilt with Rancho Bernardo on Monday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

One reason for the win was Torrey Pines' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-8.

Finley Krystkowiak paced Torrey Pines' offense, picking up 11 kills. Krystkowiak got some help from Emery Gonzales and her 23 assists. Krystkowiak was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Torrey Pines' win bumped their record up to 32-4. As for Rancho Bernardo, they dropped their record down to 12-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
