Basketball Recap: Chillicothe Victorious

If Raytown South wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chillicothe, they should've done a better job of containing Liz Oliver. Everything went the Chillicothe Hornets' way against the Raytown South Cardinals on Monday as the Chillicothe Hornets made off with a 58-36 victory thanks in part to Oliver, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Chillicothe's record now sits at 2-0. As for Raytown South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Maryville the next time they take the court. Chillicothe will head out to face Maryville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Raytown South will head out to face them on Wednesday.
