Baseball Recap: The Covenant School Gets the Win

The Covenant School took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against St. Anne's-Belfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Saints 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Brennan Dalton and McKinley Pattie dominated on the mound. Dalton tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits, while Pattie pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, Pattie posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since April 2nd.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jonathan Albert, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

The Covenant School's record is now 15-5. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-3-1.

Coincidentally, The Covenant School and St. Anne's-Belfield will both be playing Highland the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
