Volleyball Recap: Fort Bend Travis Takes a Loss

Fort Bend Travis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Langham Creek Lobos. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Lobos when the teams met back in August of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fort Bend Travis started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Emme Ansell and Kayla Siaha, who picked up seven kills apiece. They were helped by Sophie Mihalakis and Molly McClimans, who contributed seven assists each. Ellie Day controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fort Bend Travis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Langham Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Fort Bend Travis has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Memorial on the 15th. As for Langham Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Morton Ranch on the 15th.
