Baseball Recap: Sunset Park Takes a Loss

Sunset Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-1 to the New Utrecht Utes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Utes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 last Thursday.

Sunset Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenny Linares, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Sunset Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for New Utrecht, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunset Park will take on Grady at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Utrecht, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Erasmus Hall at 4:00 p.m.
