Volleyball Recap: Cullman Takes a Loss

Cullman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Albertville Aggies. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aggies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cullman sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 26-28, 15-8.

Cullman's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Albertville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-13.

Coming up, Cullman will square off against Brewer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Albertville, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Holly Pond on the 4th.
