Basketball Game Preview: South Eugene Axe vs. Sheldon Irish

South Eugene is 0-10 against Sheldon since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The South Eugene Axe will look to defend their home court against the Sheldon Irish at 6:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Eugene is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 57-27 defeat at the hands of North Medford.

Meanwhile, Sheldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 55-48 to Grants Pass. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Cavemen are ranked 22nd).

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Sheldon, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
