Basketball Recap: Park Rapids Comes Up Short

Park Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 75-54 to the Breckenridge Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Cowboys are ranked 41st).

Park Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Breckenridge, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Rapids will head out to square off against Crookston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Breckenridge, they will face off against Underwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Underwood has won 12 straight at home, while Breckenridge won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
