Softball Recap: Coxsackie-Athens Has No Trouble Against Greenville

Coxsackie-Athens hadn't done well against Greenville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Riverhawks were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Spartans. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Riverhawks this season.

The victory (which was Coxsackie-Athens' third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
