Soccer Recap: Cypress Lakes Comes Up Short

Cypress Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bridgeland Bears. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Bears are ranked 124th).

Cypress Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Bridgeland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Coming up, Cypress Lakes will head out on the road to challenge Langham Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Langham Creek's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bridgeland, they will welcome Cypress Ranch at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
