Football Preview: Eldon Mustangs vs. Hallsville Indians
Eldon has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will welcome the Hallsville Indians at 7:00 p.m. Eldon's defense has only allowed 17 points per game this season, so Hallsville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Eldon's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Osage offense got past them. Eldon received a blow on Friday as they fell 41-22 to Osage. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.
Meanwhile, Hallsville was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of Boonville by a score of 34-32. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Pirates are ranked 88th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaac Stinson, who picked up 218 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another passer making a difference was Brayden Matheney, who threw for 386 yards and two touchdowns.
