Soccer Game Preview: Deer Park vs. Clear Creek

The Deer Park Deer will challenge the Clear Creek Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Deer Park's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Thursday, neither Deer Park nor Clear Falls could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Deer Park's goal came courtesy of Layla Evans, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek earned a 3-1 win over Dickinson on Thursday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Gators are ranked 479th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Deer Park's draw makes their record 4-4-2 this season. As for Clear Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-2.
