Baseball Game Preview: Walker Wolverines vs. King's Ridge Christian Tigers

The Walker Wolverines will head out to square off against the King's Ridge Christian Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Walker saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 6-1 to Tallulah Falls. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walker got a good showing from Andrew Nagle, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Walker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Griggs, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, King's Ridge Christian entered their tilt with The Weber School on Tuesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.

King's Ridge Christian pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Walker, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Walker might still be hurting after the 14-5 loss they got from King's Ridge Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2019. Can Walker avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
