Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Gets the Win

Cornerstone Charter posted their closest victory since September 18, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the South Iredell Vikings.

Ashley Belland was nothing short of spectacular: she had 28 assists and six digs. Those 28 assists gave her a new career-high. Chloe Cobb also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Cornerstone Charter's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Iredell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Charter will head out to face off against Eno River Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Iredell, they will venture away from home to take on West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
