Preview: White County Warriors vs. Upperman Bees

White County is 1-6 against Upperman since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the White County Warriors will jump right back in to play the Upperman Bees at 8:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, White County didn't have too much trouble with Cumberland County on the road as they won 61-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for White County.

Jackson Young was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. He also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Sims, who scored 17 points.

Meanwhile, Upperman entered their tilt with Cumberland County with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Upperman enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Cumberland County on Saturday. Given Upperman's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Cumberland County is ranked 311th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White County's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Upperman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
