Football Game Preview: Stockbridge Tigers vs. Union Grove Wolverines + How To Watch

The Stockbridge Tigers will square off against the Union Grove Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Grove took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stockbridge, who comes in off a win.

Stockbridge took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 19-14 W over Ola. The 19-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Joshua Scott had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 180 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 31 yards.

Stockbridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Amari Dawkins and Zyaire Patrick. Dawkins also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 14. Cj Harris was another major factor on D, making 19 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Union Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 35-10 to Hampton. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Hornets are ranked 102nd).

Stockbridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Union Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
