Volleyball Recap: Grace Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Methodist Children's Home on Tuesday, Grace Academy came back down to earth. Grace Academy lost 3-0 to the St. Paul Cardinals on Thursday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: St. Paul scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-22.

Ashley Clay paced Grace Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Clay got some help from Ella Carleton and her ten assists. Carleton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Grace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for St. Paul, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-10-2.

Looking ahead, Grace Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Providence Prep. As for St. Paul, they will take on Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
