Volleyball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Roland-Story Norsemen. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their loss to the Norsemen from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Perry took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-17.

Charity Parnell paced Perry's offense, picking up four kills. Parnell were helped by Kalley Whelchel and Karagyn Whelchel, who contributed three assists each. Sheyanne Culp controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Roland-Story, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-6.

Perry has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Saydel on the 25th. Roland-Story has also already played their next matchup (against South Hamilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
