Softball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

After flying high against McKinley last Wednesday, Hoover came back down to earth. The Vikings lost 8-1 to the Perry Panthers on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Panthers since May 27, 2021.

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Perry, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hoover will square off against rival Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.9, the Polar Bears 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Perry is set to challenge their familiar foe Green at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
