Baseball Recap: Scranton Has No Trouble Against Delaware Valley

Scranton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Delaware Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Knights were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Warriors on Monday. That eight-run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Drew Leonori made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Cayden Booth was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Thomas Brogan also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Scranton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Scranton's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. As for Delaware Valley, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
