Softball Recap: Cleveland Falls Short Against Ranked Albuquerque

Cleveland faced Albuquerque in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Cleveland came up short against Albuquerque, falling 14-4. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Cleveland has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. Albuquerque is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Cleveland will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cibola at 4:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Albuquerque, they are taking a road trip to face off against Volcano Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
