Volleyball Recap: Fruita Monument Wildcats vs. Rocky Mountain Lobos

With a playoff win on the line, Fruita Monument rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Rocky Mountain Lobos 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (103-101) Fruita Monument actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 16-25, 19-25, 15-10.

Cambelle Brammer paced Fruita Monument's offense, picking up 19 kills. Brammer got some help from Parker Clarke and her 41 assists. Brammer and Clarke didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with five apiece.
