Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Montoursville walked away with it. They skirted past the Fleetwood Tigers 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won six matches in a row.

Jimmy Mussina made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Mussina wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Aldenderfer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Royce Bowes was another, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Montoursville's record now sits at 19-4. As for Fleetwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Montoursville will challenge Pope John Paul II on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.9, Pope John Paul II 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Fleetwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
