Softball Game Preview: Kelly Catholic Bulldogs vs. Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats

The Kelly Catholic Bulldogs will take on the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats in a tournament on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Kelly Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 16-5 margin over Bob Hope. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Claudia Espinosa made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit over her last ten matchups. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
