Basketball Game Preview: Rockford Rockets vs. Litchfield Dragons

The Rockford Rockets will venture away from home to face off against the Litchfield Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockford is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Rockford is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since January 26, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt an 84-51 defeat at the hands of Roosevelt. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rockets came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Teddies are ranked 260th).

Meanwhile, Litchfield came up short against Central on Friday and fell 59-50.

Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Rockford, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Rockford came up short against Litchfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 47-42. Can Rockford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
