Football Recap: Firth Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Firth extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Ririe Bulldogs, falling 45-18. Cougars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bulldogs since Friday.

Although Firth took the loss, they still got scores from Brycen Andersen, Quinton Hall, and Grant Vasquez.

As for Ririe, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

Kolter Lewis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 236 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 58 receiving yards and one score. Those 236 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Garrett Van Noy, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Firth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 36-6 victory against Salmon on the 3rd. As for Ririe, they have also already played their next game, a 42-28 win against West Jefferson on the 3rd.
