Basketball Recap: Turner Comes Up Short

Turner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Piper Pirates and fell 80-46. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Pirates are ranked sixth).

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Piper, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Turner nor Piper have any future games scheduled.
