Softball Game Preview: Marion County Warriors vs. Bledsoe County Warriors

Marion County hasn't had much luck against Bledsoe County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Marion County will host Bledsoe County at 5:30 p.m. Marion County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Marion County lost 13-1 to Tullahoma on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Bledsoe County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Whitwell on Thursday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Macy Holland was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bailee McCauley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bledsoe County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Marion County, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
