Softball Game Preview: Hardin Hornets vs. Warren Warriors

The Hardin Hornets are taking a road trip to take on the Warren Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Hardin and six for Warren.

Hardin fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Kountze on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-6.

Hardin got a big performance out of Kaitlyn Key, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydin Brown, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Warren fell victim to Orangefield and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 17-0.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hardin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Hardin suffered a grim 26-15 defeat to Warren in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can Hardin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
