Soccer Recap: George County Comes Up Short

George County fought the good fight in their overtime match against West Harrison on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the West Harrison Hurricanes by a score of 1-0. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

George County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-3. As for West Harrison, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pascagoula at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for West Harrison, they will be home for the holidays to greet Petal at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
