Basketball Game Preview: Wink Wildcats vs. Big Spring Steers

The Wink Wildcats will face off against the Big Spring Steers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wink will bounce into Monday's game after beating Jal, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Wink came out on top against Jal by a score of 60-48 on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 852nd in Texas, while the Panthers are ranked 99th in New Mexico).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Big Spring, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They secured a 39-33 W over Monahans on Friday.

Wink's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Big Spring, they pushed their record up to 7-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
