Volleyball Recap: DeLand Comes Up Short

DeLand saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mater Dei Monarchs.

Mater Dei was led to victory by Kate Scherlacher and Lizzy Robinson. Scherlacher had six digs and two aces, while Robinson had seven digs and two assists.

DeLand now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mater Dei, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, DeLand will take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mater Dei, they will challenge Redondo Union at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
