Plainview won the last time they faced Monterey and things went their way on Saturday too. The Plainview Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Monterey Plainsmen, sneaking past 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Plainview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Monterey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14-1 record this season.

Plainview will head out on the road to square off against Tascosa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monterey, they will face off against Coronado at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
