Baseball Recap: Santa Clara Comes Up Short

Santa Clara lost against Carpinteria back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Santa Clara Saints lost 15-1 to the Carpinteria Warriors. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Clara saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christopher Alcala, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carpinteria, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Clara will take on Fillmore at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carpinteria, they will challenge Santa Clara at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
