            Football Recap: Gateway Charter Griffins vs. Westminster Christian Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Gateway Charter fell victim to Westminster Christian and their airtight defense  on Friday. They were beaten by the Warriors 42-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Griffins haven't been shut out since  back in September.
 Westminster Christian's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Gianni Dalessio, who threw for 206 yards and three  TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave  Dalessio a new career-high in  passer rating (166).  Britton Bayag was  Dalessio's top target, picking up 28 receiving yards and one  touchdown, while also punching in one  score on the ground.
Gateway Charter's defeat was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Westminster Christian,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-1.
 Looking ahead, Gateway Charter will venture away from home to  take on Santa Fe Catholic  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Griffins will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four matchups. As for Westminster Christian, they will host True North Classical Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three contests.
