Recap: Layton Christian Academy Eagles vs. Ogden Tigers
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Layton Christian Academy Eagles proved on Saturday. Everything went their way against Ogden as Layton Christian Academy made off with a 51-25 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Layton Christian Academy.
Layton Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Asmin Tanhan led the charge by scoring 11 points along with 8 rebounds. Tanhan hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Sofia Saez, who scored 14 points.
Despite the defeat, Ogden saw an underclassman step up: LAURETTA TAYLOR scored 9 points.
Layton Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Ogden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Layton Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. North Summit will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Ogden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Joseph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
