Recap: Bloomington Purple Raiders vs. Urbana Tigers
The Bloomington Purple Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Urbana for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-18 victory on the road. That looming 67-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bloomington yet this season.
Tina Lenard had a dynamite game for Bloomington, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lenard has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sosi Dadekian, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bloomington's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-14. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Urbana, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Bloomington will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. Centennial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 504th, while Bloomington is ranked 200th). As for Urbana, they will head out on the road to face off against Peoria Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
