Basketball Recap: Prestonwood Christian Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

Prestonwood Christian entered their tilt with John Paul II on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 72-68 win over the John Paul II Cardinals. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Cardinals are ranked 381st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Prestonwood Christian pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for John Paul II, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
