Basketball Recap: Johnson Creek Takes a Loss

Johnson Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy 72-31. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy are ranked 156th).

Johnson Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson Creek will venture away from home to challenge Palmyra-Eagle at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Palmyra-Eagle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Waterloo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
